Xperia Z3 has all the bells and whistles to keep it running for a foreseeable future but as with all other manufacturers and update to their current flagship is imminent, enter Xperia Z4. The transition from Z2 to Z3 was kind of, because it only had minor improvements. But with the rumor mill going all about Z4, I thought we’d to compare the two. Read on for a head to head battle of Xperia Zs, Xperia Z3 VS Xperia Z4.
Xperia Z3 VS Xperia Z4: Display and Body
Techies all over the world complained about phablets and here we are now, each and every manufacturer these days releases a phablet in every quarter. Xperia Z3 is 5.2 inches which you can hold in your hand comfortably, but a 5.5 inch Z4 might not give you the same comfort. Xperia Z4 is the bigger of the twins here, but the added size comes with a Quad HD (2560x1440P) compared to the 1080P panel of Z3.
Both Xperia Z3 and Z4 will come with IP ratings for added dustproof and waterproof capabilities. Apart from that, we’ll be seeing that shiny glass at the rear of the device with all fancy colors too.

Xperia Z3 VS Xperia Z4: Imaging and Hardware
The Xperia Z3 is a stunner in the imaging department. The 20 Megapixel snapper offers some stellar shots even in low light with good color saturation and detail, not to mention video as well. Xperia Z4 on the other is rumored to have a 24MP snapper which in theory should offer better performance than the current sensor. There will be added the feature of 1080 at 120fps for some slow motion recording as well.
As mentioned before the Xperia Z3 is no slouch when it comes to raw processing power. The Snapdragon 801 processor offers smooth performance although some hitches were seen with the UI, but that’s an issue on almost all the devices. The Xperia Z4 will have the same hardware as the Nexus 6 and Galaxy Note 4, a Snapdragon 805 SoC clocked at 2.7GHz with 3GB of RAM. Couple that with Android Lollipop and you get one smooth performing device. This slight upgrade won’t, however, put Xperia Z4 close to competition from Galaxy S6 or Galaxy Note 5 which are to release next year.
The Z3 comes with a 3100mAh battery whereas the Xperia Z4 is rumored to come with a 3500mAh which is slight boost considering the raw power of the device.
